Ten of our runners battled the winds on the Eastbourne half marathon.  This is the first Sussex Grand Prix of the year.  The course is mostly flat but there is pretty mean hill from 2 mile to 3.5 mile before a quicke descent to the seafront.  Seafront courses are great, generally flat and scenic but offer no protection from the wind. The full force of the wind hit you from about 11 mile to 12.5 after coming out from the marina back onto the seafront heading west running today were Richard Coates  1hr 35.06, Andy Taylor 1hr 38.36, Graham West 1hr 28.51, Max Williams 1hr 47.11 (First half marathon), Stewart Gasson 1hr 47.37, Jason Remington 1hr 52.49, Chris Lugg 1hr 58.36, Samantha Kedwards 2hrs 03.24 (PB), Sue Collett 2hrs 21.20 and Michael Hill 2hrs 40.36.

There we also a few runners out on the Eastbourne Parkrun on Saturday: Graham West 27.27, Rebecca Holden 29.42, Lindsey Griffiths 30.43, Sara Patience 30.53, Lorraine West 45.22.  Well done to Rebecca for getting under 30 minutes and Lindsey and Sara not far off it: next time maybe.  Lorraine improved by about 2 minutes from last week just missing out on her target of 45 minutes.
