RUNNING SESSIONS

We have 8 session each week as set out below.  During Covid we introduced a booking system to comply with Covid guidelines.  Whilst the Covid guidelines no longer apply in response to a poll in which 2:1 preferred to retain the booking system this has been retained.  However please do not attend session if you or any one in your household has symptoms of covid has tested positive or if you have been asked to self isolate or are in Quarantine.

Whilst we no longer need to apply limits for Covid there are limits on session for practical reason but usually all session have enough spaces for all those that wish to participate.

You need JavaScript enabled to view it..  There is no deadline to book but it does help the run leaders if you can book reasonably in advance.  Pete will send a reminder each Friday for booking with the link but it is the same link as that above. 

It is £1 per session: applies but please do not bring cash. Please pay for your sessions in the month at the start of the following month by bank transfer to the club account details of which will be included in the weekly reminder email.  The charge for a month is capped at £6, thus if you usually do two or more sessions per week you just pay £6 per month.  For the first week of each month please bring food for the foodbank in lieu of the £1                      


Sessions are held each week as follows 

Monday 5k run with Dayle. There is also usually a longer version of about 5 miles.  Meet at Freedom Leisure 9.30am This session is suitable for all abilities including beginners 

Tuesday 5k run with Sam (Samantha).  Meet at Freedom Leisure (note sometimes the meet place will be different but all booked runners will be advised) 6.30pm This session is suitable for all abilities including beginners 

Tuesday structured training sessions with Graham.  Meet at Uckfield Rugby club (Nevill Rd, Uckfield TN22 1LX) 6.30pm.  This session consists of hill reps or other reps (it is a structured session but you run it as hard as you like).  The session lasts 60 to 90 mins.   Not suitable for beginners.  The session is based on time so you do not need to be 'super speedy '  some will do more reps tan others but the total distance will usually be 10/11lk so you do need to be comfortable running this distance.

  
Thursday 5k run with Chris (Christopher).  There is also usually a longer version of about 5 miles. Meet at Freedom Leisure 7.30pm This session is suitable for all abilities including beginners 

Thursday 5k run with Emma.  There is also usually a longer version of about 5 miles. Meet at Victoria Park (aka Victoria Pleasure Ground) 7.30pm This session is suitable for all abilities including beginners 

Saturday social off road 10 to 12k with Grahamn.  Meet at Uckfield Rugby club (Nevill Rd, Uckfield TN22 1LX) 11.00am.  This is a social run so suitable for most abilities but you do need to be able to run the distance so no suitable for beginners.   These runs will take you along some of the many footpaths in a our area around, Uckfield, Buxted, High Hurstwood, Framfield, Fairwarp, Maresfield etc 

Sunday social off road 10 to 12miles with Graham.  Meet at Uckfield Rugby club (Nevill Rd, Uckfield TN22 1LX) 8.30am.  This is a social run so suitable for most abilities but you do need to be able to run the distance so no suitable for beginners.  Similar to the Saturday run but with the longer distance will go further afield.

Sunday social off road 10 to 12k with Sam.  Meet at Uckfield Rugby club (Nevill Rd, Uckfield TN22 1LX) 11.00am.  This is a social run so suitable for most abilities but you do need to be able to run the distance so no suitable for beginners.   These runs will take you along some of the many footpaths in a our area around, Uckfield, Buxted, High Hurstwood, Framfield, Fairwarp, Maresfield etc 

Beginners 

Any of the 5k groups are suitable for non runners and beginners. If you are a beginner (not yet up running 5k) someone will do a jog walk session with you (which may be less than 5k as applicable).  Click here for more information >.

Its not all about running, we hold a Christmas meal and Dance and a barbeque in the Summer.
